| Cosmos (Bidens formosa) Landscape at Sunset |

A new image of the sun setting over the beautiful fields of wild Cosmos has been added to the South African Landscape Photography gallery. Cosmos (Bidens formosa) is a declared weed of crops in South Africa and originated from Central America and the West Indies. Cosmos is so widespread across South Africa and is far beyond the stage of controlling it and can be considered naturalised. As much as it is an exotic species and a pest of agricultural crops, Cosmos can still put on one of the most spectacular wildlflower shows on the South African highveld far above any indigenous wildflower displays.
